Early Career and Collegiate Background
Elite Athletes TV Coach Ethan Banning comes with a unique set of skills that was built from his sports background. Growing up in Indiana and excelling at high school sports he moved on to playing college football for Eastern Illinois in 1998.
In 1999 Banning started his professional track in Arena Football League (AFL) for the Grand Rapids Rampage, moving on to the Carolina Cobras and then for the Arizona Rattlers playing offensive and defensive lines, respectfully. While playing for the Rattlers in Arizona Banning kicked off his new career in human performance development with his company Triple Threat Performance. Forming the company in 2004 developing quickly a no-holds-barred regimental human strength and conditioning methodology for the elite athlete from high school, collegiate to pro levels. With the constant desire to learn and expand on how to bring the best results to his athletes, Banning graduated with a Master’s in education from the Arizona State University.
During his tenure for his Master’s degree, Banning was the Sports Performance Coordinator at Scottsdale Community College, overseeing all aspects of sports performance for 350 Student-athletes. In addition, he was a strength consultant for Major League Baseball developing, implementing and oversaw all aspects of player strength and power development for players from international countries. In 2008, Banning became the State Director of National Strength and Conditioning Association. The NSCA offers two certifications, the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and the NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). The CSCS certification is for professionals who design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for athletes.
Joining Rehab Plus Physical Therapy as Elite Performance Coach in 2012, Banning oversaw strength and conditioning, performance training, speed, agility and structural balance. During his tenure at RehabPlus, he was the off-season assistant strength coach for NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Being only one of six strength and conditioning coaches to be a part of the MLB and the NFL.
Continuing as the founder and owner or Triple Threat Performance, he adds more to his resume in human performance, EA.TV CoachBanning is a Certified Structural Health Specialist and Certified provider and master instructor of Electrons Plus Guided PEMF. As such, he has trained a number of medical staffs in both MLB and the NFL on implementation of healing modalities and a variety of treatment techniques.
